Area Supervisor Qualifications

1.       The holder of this position must demonstrate their support of and loyalty to the International Congress of Churches and Ministers (ICCM) by maintaining appropriate and current ICCM Ministerial Credentials and their support of WBI via a completed and signed Membership Covenant.

2.       The Candidate must be a Christian who has been Baptized in the Holy Ghost and is able to pray in the Spirit (Acts 1:8; 1 Cor. 14:2; Jude 1:20).

3.       The State Regional/Area Supervisor must live a life void of the characteristics of 1 Cor. 6:9-10 and Gal. 5:19-21, and shall exhibit the fruit of the Spirit as outlined in Gal. 5:22-23.

4.       Commitment and Dedication are an absolute must. There is no substitute for either. Involvement is not the same as dedication and commitment. A hen is involved in the morning breakfast because she lays the egg. The pig is dedicated and committed because he gives his all to supply the bacon, ham, or sausage.

5.       The Regional/Area Supervisor must have and maintain a reliable daily prayer life. Our ability does not impress God, but our availability does. God gave Balaam a gift, but he was motivated and determined by his gift. However, God used the donkey because of its availability (Num. 22:28). Peter was the great apostle—one of the inner circle, but God used the rooster to proclaim the message to Peter (Mt. 26:74-75).

6.       The Regional/Area Supervisor must be a person of integrity. Integrity is not defined by what you do when people are looking, but by what you do when no one is looking. You must live morally in public and private. Be like the Psalmist David who declared: “I live with integrity. . .” (Psa. 26:11a NLT).

7.       This position requires the individual to walk with kindness every day (Gal. 5:22; Eph. 4:22). Demonstrate that kindness in every situation and to everyone you meet. The story is told of an elderly gentleman who carried a small oil can with him every day. If he encountered a squeaky door, he put a little oil on the hinges. If he encountered a gate that was hard to open, he placed a little oil on the latch. While others thought he was a bit eccentric, or
even weird, he was able to make the hard places of life more enjoyable for others. This is the role of an Intercessor.

8.       A Regional/Area Supervisor must possess high moral character. This means there will be somethings you will not be allowed to do—not because they are wrong, but because of what others may think if they see you doing those things (1 Cor. 8:13; 1 Thess. 5:22). As Christians, we not only have the knowledge of what is right and wrong, but we also have the power to obey that which is right and avoid that which is wrong (Rom. 6:14).

9.       The Regional/Area Supervisor must live a life of Discipline. Christians often confuse discipline and punishment. We sometimes think when we encounter trials and struggles that God is punishing us for something or the devil is attacking us. It usually is neither. It is usually just a sifting process from a loving God to remove the lumps from your life so that you will blend much better with the plans He has for you. Sometimes a potter has to beat a lump of clay to make the air bubbles surface. As long as the bubbles are hidden in the clay, the potter cannot mold it into the vessel he desires. What may seem like punishment is nothing more than God removing the bubbles from your life so He can mold you in His hands (Rom. 5:3-4).

10.     The Regional/Area Supervisor must be a team player. In Acts 2 those in the upper room were not in one accord—they were with one accord. This means that although some may have thought differently about some of the issues or methods being employed, they set aside their desire for that which was best for the new Church. The needs of the many always outweigh the needs of the one. You must be willing to set aside what you want for that which is best for the group and for ICCM.

11.     The Intercessor will report and be responsible to his/her State Chapter President.
